Is the sand wax scented?

Our sand wax is unscented; to add a fragrance, add a few drops of your favourite essential oil around the wick before lighting.

How long will the wax last?

An estimated 100 hours of burn time. Many factors can influence this, such as the number of wicks being used or whether you relight the same wick or use a new one each time.

What is the sand wax made of?

Our wax is 100% plant-based. Derived from sustainably sourced palm oil. Wax does not include soy, paraffin or any allergens.

How long do the wicks last?

Estimated burn time of 8-10 hours per wick. Our wicks are cotton-based, pre-coated in plant-based wax, providing a cleaner and consistent burn.

What type of vessel can I use?

We encourage using fire-safe containers; however, you can be creative with other options, too. Make sure the burn pool is away from the edges and ensure the vessel does not overheat.

Do I have to use a new wick each time?

Nope, you can either... relight the old wick, trim the old wick (1cm above wax) or pull out and flip the hardened burn pool to reveal the unburned section of wick.

Does the sand wax float?

Yes, it does. We recommend adding 5cm of sand wax on top of the water in your desired vessel.
